Have something to say?
Bubble Video Messages
Record short video messages directly inside a proposal, so you can explain key sections, add personal context, and guide clients through the document without needing a separate Loom or email.
Image + Text Layout Blocks
Introduce a set of pre-designed "Image + Text" layout blocks users can drop into a document to speed up creation.
Automatic Expiry Reminders
Request to implement automated email alerts that trigger when a proposal is approaching its validity limit (e.g., a "10 days left" reminder). This reduces administrative friction and helps increase conversion rates by creating a natural sense of urgency for the client.
Proposal Expiration / Validity Period
Implementation of a validity period would allow users to set a specific timeframe (e.g., 30 days) for a proposal. Once this period passes, the document becomes inactive, ensuring that all accepted proposals align with current business terms and availability.
Button - Style
Hey, I’d love to have a choice to have a button, which I could use to navigate to my website. Maybe there is already a way?
Process Block
A new block designed to visually present step-by-step processes or workflows. Similar layout capabilities to the Timeline block (horizontal or vertical display) but without temporal data such as dates, durations, or Gantt chart functionality. Ideal for showcasing methodologies, project phases, or onboarding steps.
Masonry Image Gallery Block
A new gallery block type using a masonry (Pinterest-style) layout, allowing users to display multiple images in a visually dynamic grid where images of varying sizes and aspect ratios flow naturally together. This provides a modern alternative to standard grid or carousel galleries.
Conditional Add-ons Based on Package Selected
Allow users to configure optional add-ons that are shown or hidden depending on which pricing package the client selects. This enables package-specific upsells and relevant optional services, so clients only see add-ons that apply to their chosen tier.
Embed Code for Media (Virtual Tours, 3D Models, etc.)
Support for custom HTML embed codes and iframes in the Embed block, allowing users to embed any third-party content such as virtual tours (Matterport, Kuula), 3D models (Sketchfab), interactive maps, calendly widgets, and other media that provides an embed code, beyond the currently supported platform-specific URLs.
Photo Sliders for Pricing Packages
Add the ability to include images or photo sliders within pricing package cards. Currently, the package cards are text-only, which can feel heavy. Adding image support would make packages more visually appealing and easier to differentiate at a glance.
Few ideas for text formatting
A few small text controls that instantly make docs feel more premium. Requests: Justified alignment option for paragraphs (optional) Casing controls per style/block: UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case Nice-to-have: Letter spacing (tracking) for all-caps headings
Customizable Templates
Implementation of a library of pre-designed and customizable templates. This allows users to select a layout that immediately fits specific needs, rather than building the entire structure manually with blocks. This provides more flexibility and options for starting interactive documents.
Portfolio as just gallery images
It would be great to have the portfolio to just display images, rather than have to have the expanded view with text etc
Extra Typography Options
An extra headline option would be fab - or the ability to add extra options as needed such as extra headlines. Also text ‘highlights’ allowing a solid background behind a featured word/tag would be a nice to have, allowing tags over icons.
Style bullet points
Is there an option to adjust the styling of bullet points? I can’t see it in typography settings.
More Modularity & Customization
This week I tried to use Formlio for a capabilities deck at the request of a new prospect. I found challenging to adjust that I ended up abandoning it as a possible solution. Here’s a list of all the things that prevented this. The existing blocks are too bloated and rigid. In some areas I just needed a single block for an image or text. In some cases are was able to delete some of the text but it left a huge gap where the text was. The existing H tags were also too limited. In some areas, the text was either too big or too small, and never the size I needed. Zero ablity to add images into certain blocks — I wanted to add our logo to the header and there was no way to do it. I ended up having to create an image that already had our logo imposed on it but had to try multiple times to get it aligned with the grid. Public sharing (anyone with a link can view) — this was the final cause that made me abandon Formlio for this use. I understand that the end user would be able to add viewers but this is way too much work to add to the prospect experience. At the prospect proposal stage you want to reduce as much user friction as possible and this just ads an unnecessary layer of complexity.
AI-assisted proposal writing feature
I had one idea that could make the proposal creation process even more powerful. It would be interesting to consider adding an AI-assisted proposal writing feature. For example, designers could input: Project scope Pricing Client details Deliverables And the AI could help generate a structured proposal draft, including clear descriptions, timelines, and positioning language, which the designer can then refine and personalize. This could: Save time Reduce proposal-writing stress Help designers articulate their value more confidently Especially support those who struggle with writing I feel this would align really well with Formlio’s goal of simplifying proposal creation. Just a thought from my side, excited to see how the product evolves!
